About the Role

Qatar Job Updates is proud to advertise this exciting opportunity on behalf of one of its prestigious clients β€” a well-established company operating in Qatar’s construction and building materials industry. As Qatar continues to experience strong momentum in infrastructure, real estate, and commercial development, our client is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and lead their sales function across the Qatari market.

This is a senior-level role that demands a deep understanding of the construction supply chain, the ability to manage and motivate a sales team, and a confident, client-facing approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for building lasting business relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, and procurement teams, while identifying new opportunities and expanding the company’s market share throughout Qatar.

The position offers a competitive salary in the range of QAR 7,000 to QAR 12,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. If you are a passionate sales professional with hands-on experience in building materials and a proven ability to deliver, this could be the career-defining move you have been looking for.

“We are looking for a leader who knows the Qatari construction market inside out β€” someone who can open doors, close deals, and build a high-performing team around them.”

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s revenue goals within the construction and building materials segment in Qatar.
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across Qatar’s active construction, infrastructure, and real estate development projects.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders including main contractors, sub-contractors, project developers, interior designers, and procurement managers.
  • Lead, coach, and manage the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct regular site visits, product demonstrations, and client presentations across Doha and other regions of Qatar, requiring frequent travel by vehicle.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with clients, ensuring profitable deals are concluded within approved company guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts, activity reports, and pipeline analyses for senior management on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and a high standard of after-sales support.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback, and provide actionable insights to support product and strategy decisions.
  • Participate in trade exhibitions, industry networking events, and client entertainment to strengthen brand presence and market relationships.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of progressive sales experience, with a substantial portion in the construction and building materials industry (e.g., cement, steel, tiles, sanitary ware, glass, aluminium, MEP products, paints, insulation, or related categories).
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive, project-driven market environment.
  • Valid Qatar driving licence is mandatory. The role involves regular travel to construction sites, project showrooms, and client offices across Qatar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills β€” you should be confident presenting to senior decision-makers, negotiating commercially, and representing the brand at a high level.
  • Strong proficiency in English (spoken and written). Arabic language skills are a significant added advantage Arabic: Added Advantage and will be highly preferred for client interaction in the local market.
  • Solid understanding of Qatar’s construction market dynamics, project tendering processes, and procurement cycles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
