Biomedical Engineer

📋 Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical equipment maintenance
- Alternatively, minimum 3 years in general laboratory equipment maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proven capability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness and flexibility to travel to client sites across the UAE as required
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to efficiently manage assigned tasks and resources
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is considered a strong advantage
- Currently based in the UAE
- Valid UAE driving license is required
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, maintain, test, and repair biomedical and laboratory equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimize equipment downtime
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and provide effective corrective maintenance solutions
- Prepare accurate technical reports, service records, and maintenance documentation
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers for spare parts, technical support, and warranty claims
- Train end-users and clinical staff on safe and proper operation of equipment
- Ensure full compliance with UAE health authority regulations, safety standards, and hospital policies
- Conduct equipment risk assessments and manage asset lifecycle planning
- Support new hospital project installations, commissioning, and handover processes
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of medical devices, accessories, and spare parts
