About the Roles
A reputed and confidential company in Qatar is seeking experienced Civil Engineers and Mechanical Engineers with a strong background in the construction field. The ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience in their respective disciplines, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to deliver high-quality results on construction and infrastructure projects in Qatar.
Role-Specific Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and supervise civil construction works including structures, roads, and infrastructure.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs for accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise site activities and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports and progress updates.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure all works comply with Qatar construction standards and safety regulations.
- Monitor project timelines, quality control, and material specifications on site.
- Design, install, and oversee mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Review mechanical drawings, submittals, and technical specifications for construction projects.
- Supervise mechanical works on site and ensure execution as per design intent.
- Prepare method statements, inspection test plans, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate MEP activities with civil and electrical teams on site.
- Ensure mechanical installations meet project quality standards and safety codes.
- Liaise with vendors, subcontractors, and consultants on technical matters.
Common Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate engineering documentation, reports, and records.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input as required.
- Identify and resolve technical issues on site promptly and effectively.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Support project managers with planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
- Assist with quantity estimation, material procurement, and site logistics.
Who We Are Looking For
- Commercial and residential construction projects in Qatar or GCC
- Infrastructure, fit-out, or industrial construction environments
- Oil & Gas construction or plant projects
- Facilities Management or building maintenance projects
- Experience working with international consultants and main contractors
- Familiarity with Qatar construction codes, QCDD, and local regulations
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (relevant to the position applied for).
- Professional certifications (PMP, UPDA, MME registration) are an advantage.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the construction field in the relevant engineering discipline.
- Prior experience in Qatar or GCC is a significant advantage.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge in the relevant engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or relevant engineering software.
- Good command of English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Qatar driving license is preferred.
