Purchase Officer
Procurement Background | 2β4 Years Experience | Qatar FM Sector
About the Role
We are hiring a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Officer for one of Qatar’s leading Facilities Management companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing aligned with operational requirements. Candidates with prior exposure to FM, retail, oil & gas, or construction environments will be given strong preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, quotation, purchase orders, and delivery follow-up.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve the best value for the company.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information in the procurement system.
- Coordinate with stores, operations, and finance teams to align procurement with project and operational needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and delivery notes in a timely manner.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable Qatar regulations.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain.
- Prepare regular procurement reports and cost-saving analysis for management review.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Any Graduate (Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline).
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field is an advantage.
Experience
- 2 to 4 years of proven procurement or purchasing experience.
- Prior experience in Qatar or the GCC region is preferred.
- Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good command of English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple purchase requests simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of cost-control principles.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet procurement deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly salary: QAR 5,000
