About the Role

We are hiring a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Officer for one of Qatar’s leading Facilities Management companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing aligned with operational requirements. Candidates with prior exposure to FM, retail, oil & gas, or construction environments will be given strong preference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, quotation, purchase orders, and delivery follow-up.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information in the procurement system.
  • Coordinate with stores, operations, and finance teams to align procurement with project and operational needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and delivery notes in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and applicable Qatar regulations.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain.
  • Prepare regular procurement reports and cost-saving analysis for management review.

Preferred Industry Background

Candidates with procurement experience in any of the following sectors will be given preference:
  • Facilities Management (FM) Companies
  • Corporate / Commercial Sector
  • Retail Chains and Supermarkets
  • Oil & Gas Companies and Contractors
  • Construction and Real Estate Companies
  • Hospitality and Healthcare Sectors

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Any Graduate (Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline).
  • Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field is an advantage.

Experience

  • 2 to 4 years of proven procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Prior experience in Qatar or the GCC region is preferred.
  • Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for tracking and reporting.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple purchase requests simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of cost-control principles.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet procurement deadlines.
