About the Role
Karaneef Madinah is a well-established restaurant in the heart of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and we are currently seeking a talented, experienced, and passionate Oriental Chef to join our kitchen team.
The ideal candidate brings proven hands-on experience preparing authentic Asian and seafood cuisine. You will be responsible for maintaining consistent food quality, adhering to hygiene standards, and contributing to a professional kitchen culture. This is a full-time, live-in position with accommodation provided within walking distance of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of oriental dishes to a consistently high standard, including fried rice, Chinese noodles, and chicken soup.
Handle and cook fresh seafood dishes with precision, including calamari, shrimps, and a variety of fish preparations.
Maintain strict kitchen cleanliness and ensure full compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
Assist with daily ingredient preparation, stock management, and minimising food waste.
Collaborate effectively with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely service during all operating hours.
Uphold recipe standards and plating consistency to meet the restaurant’s quality expectations.
Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders simultaneously during busy service periods.
