🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW
NAPESCO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Supervisor — Liner Hanger to oversee and execute liner hanger operations at well sites. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in downhole tools, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a deep commitment to safety, precision, and operational excellence in oil & gas environments.
🔧 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Technical Execution:
- Supervise all liner hanger operations including running, setting, and testing of downhole tools in strict compliance with well programs
- Monitor and interpret real-time well parameters including pressure, weight on bit, and torque during operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues swiftly to ensure successful tool installation and well integrity
- Review and implement well programs, job designs, and technical procedures prior to execution
- Conduct pre-job and post-job technical briefings with the rig team and client representatives
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all field service reports and documentation
Leadership & Crew Management:
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate on-site crew during liner hanger operations
- Oversee proper tool preparation, function testing, and equipment readiness before deployment
- Enforce strict adherence to execution procedures, technical standards, and company protocols
- Mentor and develop junior field technicians and crew members on-site
- Act as the primary technical point of contact between NAPESCO and the client on location
Safety & Compliance:
- Champion a strong safety-first culture across all field operations
- Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and industry best practices
- Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and job safety analyses (JSA) before operations
- Identify potential hazards and implement effective corrective actions immediately
- Maintain zero-tolerance approach to unsafe behaviors or non-compliant practices
✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
Experience:
- Minimum 7+ years of proven hands-on experience in downhole tools operations
- Demonstrated expertise specifically in liner hanger systems and well completion tools
- Strong background in oil & gas field operations across various well types and environments
- Prior experience working with major operators or international oil companies is a strong advantage
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of liner hanger systems, packers, and completion tools
- Proficiency in monitoring and interpreting real-time well data and parameters
- Strong understanding of well completion programs and downhole tool specifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
- Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ISO, and HSE regulations
Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities in high-pressure field environments
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills under operational pressure
- Effective communication with clients, rig crews, and management teams
- High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in remote field locations and adapt to demanding operational schedules
